This is a beautiful park with a meandering river running through with 2 lakes and a number of waterfalls and water features. It's busy and has a lot of wood. Ample room for joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, and family. Tony Foulds has been looking after the Mi Amigo B17 was memorial fir 70 years and will tell you all about it. The cafe is friendly and efficient with nice staff, limited inside seating but lots outside. There's a callesthenics training area, parlour, climbing boulders, children's park.and a huge wide open space to walk or play football. Will without a doubt be amazing in any season

It is a popular cafe so I can not blame the frequent busyness. There is seating inside, but it is mainly outside, which is perfect as it is in the centre of the park. You can access the playground easily, as well as the field, stepping stones, duck ponds, etc. The toilets can be accessible but are not always in the best condition and have an all in one dryer, soap, and tap, which I am not personally keen on. It also closes at a certain time, which is understandable but can be annoying! The food is pricey but normal park cafe range, and it is good food as well as drinks. They are dog friendly and have a dog drinking station. I think they also do cut-up sausages for dogs, too, which is always a plus. Vegetarian options are available. Parking nearby. The artwork is very pretty<3

Food is nice albeit a bit pricey compared to similar venues but didn't mind that so much. Obviously great location. What really got me was the fact that the item that had been the deciding factor in my food choice (that it was served with slaw) was out but they didn't update the board or told me at the point of order. When I asked at time of collection, I was simply told "oh sorry, we've run out" and then the guy moved on to the next customer. No offer of discount or replacing it with something else - just plain rude and arrogant tbh. When I chose and pay for food, I expect to get what I ordered and paid for. Things can happen but then be proactive, apologetic and make up for it otherwise. And just be dismissed was insulting actually.
